If later we become a mayor, what kind of the city and the governance as we want to happen? This open question is from Wardah Hafidz, former coordinator of the UPC, and human rights activists, who greeted the familiar "mba Wardah" by the urban poor. In Makassar recently, he posed the question on the board KPRM, which is preparing the agenda of an alternative political movement 2013-2018.
popular city government leaders - city budget pro-poor
- provision of houses for the poor
- legalization of the land for people
- realize the social insurance
- protect local and traditional markets
- no more malls and luxury vehicles
A series of answers above
reflects the ideal expectation of everybody to the city mayor and his
administration in the future. Annual real expectation is uttered
repeatedly in seminars, workshops, training, talk shows, public
hearings, protest speeches, and conversations in coffeeshop.
Their
expectation was ideal because the political system today is
indifferent to the constitutional mandate, the state with a
government responsibility to protect, shelter, and welfare of the
people are genuine and consistent.
Mayor
hopes on the shoulders of political parties and politicians today, it
seems all too often, even uncomfortable to ask again. So better serve
the agenda of Mayor we just struggle.
Our representative leaders
for the future, called "wali kita", who comes from us, who
supported and elected by anyone who wants the city and his
administration to work on the orders of the constitution, which means
the trust of the people suffering.
